Do you feel like this is a dead week? Or a great week to lay the groundwork for the coming year? (I write this post on Monday morning between Christmas and the new year 2021.)
Thomas Edison, he of 99% perspiration and 2,000 failed filaments, is an inspiration for action. Here’s a link to the letter he wrote on the day after Christmas 1907, asking the St. Louis Smelting Company for a supply of bismuth ore, https://lnkd.in/epxqHUz. Four months later, he filed a patent application on batteries containing bismuth, which would be granted as U.S. Patent 946,540. Thomas Edison’s original letter is displayed on the walls of my law offices.
Edison energizes us to act on this day and throughout this week. Call us for help in building your company’s intellectual property portfolio for the new year.
