Richard P. Beem: With more than 30 years of experience in patent law across a range of technologies and industries in the U.S. and abroad, Rich enjoys working with each client to serve their business and to protect their intellectual property. From preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications to litigation, trials and appeals, he assists clients in securing their intellectual property rights — and, more importantly, contributes to the success of their innovations and ultimately to the growth of their business. To serve clients’ national and global intellectual property needs, Rich maintains relationships with top lawyers who assist in protecting inventions and technologies in many other regions and countries.

Alex Shtraym: Alex helps businesses create strategic advantages by protecting valuable intellectual property. He has worked with executives and product design teams to obtain patents, to maintain patent portfolios, to protect trademarks, and to avoid or minimize exposure to the intellectual property rights of others. His services include identification and forensic analysis of intellectual property, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, trademark registration applications, and copyright registration applications, preparing and negotiating a range of agreements including licenses, assignment agreements, and litigation. He works closely with in-house counsel, business leaders, and inventors to evaluate new innovations and implement domestic and foreign patent strategies. He routinely conducts examiner interviews and responds to Office Actions with amendments and arguments to advance prosecution through issuance.
